How to upload a job using Maya and Vray:
Open the scene you will send to the render cloud on Maya with Vray renderer.
Open the Maya render settings and set a name for the images you will render online under the “Image file output” tab.
Set an output format for your results.
If you will send an animation to the render cloud, set the frame range under the “Animation” tab.
Under the “Vray” tab, navigate to the “Image sampler” rollout and set the min-max subdivs values and threshold, these parameters will affect the render time on the render cloud and the quality but it depends of your scene, so please do some local tests before submitting the job.
Now please close Maya render setup and open RebusFarm setup window on the RebusFarm menu to prepare your scene to render online.
Please refer to Maya Job Submission for more detailed information about each of the options of the RebusFarm setup window.
After configuring your RebusFarm settings, please click on the button “Render now” at the bottom of the RebusFarm setup window.
A new window will be opened for RebusFarm messages showing all the relevant information, warnings, and errors your scene may have.
If you don’t get any error message, then send your job to render online by clicking on “Send to Rebus”.
RebusFarm will upload to the render cloud all the assets required for rendering, you can check the progress of the upload process and rendering by visiting the ControlCenter. Once the upload process gets complete, the rendering process will start automatically if you activated the “Autostar render” option before uploading, if not you will have to do it manually by clicking on the “Start render” button in the Control Center. For further detail about how to manipulate the Control Center please click here.
As soon as the job gets complete, your results will be automatically downloaded to the output save path that you set on your render configuration.
